A celebration turned into chaos at Pasadena Memorial High School when an 83-year-old man fired shots, injuring an Angleton High School band consultant. The shooting happened as the band wrapped up a competition where they had just won first place. The victim, shot in the shoulder, is recovering in a Houston hospital. No students were harmed, and staff quickly got all 43 students onto a bus for safety. The suspect, Dennis Erwin Brandl Jr., claimed paranoia drove his actions and is now in custody without bond.
