Longtime Victoria judge Jack W. Marr retired on January 1st, closing a 50-year legal career, including 11 years on the bench. Marr, who presided over thousands of cases in the 24th District Court, reflected fondly on his journey, from practicing family law to his unexpected path to the bench. Marr became a respected figure in Texas law, facing no election challengers after his first term. Now retired, he plans to enjoy fishing, hunting, and road trips with his wife, Sharon.
