El Campo police are investigating a hit-and-run crash after a local man discovered about $1,500 worth of damage to his parked Ford F-250 on New Year’s Day. The collision happened sometime between New Year’s Eve and early New Year’s morning in the 900 block of North Washington. Only one vehicle was occupied during the crash, and the other driver fled without stopping. Authorities are asking anyone who saw the incident or noticed a vehicle with suspicious damage to contact El Campo Police or anonymously through West Wharton County Crime Stoppers or via the P3 app.
