Ganado ISD trustees took multiple actions to celebrate and support their community following the district’s first-ever Class 2A Division I state football championship. To ensure hourly staff didn’t lose wages during school closures on Dec. 19 and 20 for the UIL State Championship game, the board approved compensating those employees. Trustees also voted to purchase commemorative rings for players, coaches, and administrators, along with a permanent granite monument for Indian Stadium to honor the 2024 team’s historic win.
