The El Campo Elks Lodge is hosting its annual Hoop Shoot for kids aged 8 to 13 on January 11th at Ricebird Gym. Young hoopers from Wharton County and nearby areas can join this free event starting at 8:30 a.m. The competition will test free throw skills, with winners advancing to district, state, regional, and eventually the national contest in Chicago. The Elks Lodge will cover all costs beyond the local contest. Last year’s winners included standout players like Kade Srubar and Kinley Whitington.
