In Victoria, Jerry Ramos was discovered dead in his apartment at the Crossroads complex after police broke down the door during a wellness check. Though Ramos allegedly shared the apartment with a roommate, authorities have yet to release information about the roommate or who was on the lease. Some of his belongings, including his wallet and jacket, were missing, sparking his family’s suspicions of possible foul play, although they later recovered some items. They are now awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death. To help with funeral costs, the family held a barbecue fundraiser on Sunday.
