The El Campo Ricebirds dominated the Floresville Tigers with a 66-0 shutout at Ricebird Stadium Friday night. From start to finish, El Campo controlled both sides of the ball, forcing punts and recovering fumbles. Junior quarterback Ridge Spenrath connected on multiple long passes, while sophomore Vlad Garcia ran in several touchdowns, including a 70-yard rush. The Ricebirds scored on every first-half drive, while their defense shut down Floresville’s attempts. This week, they face a tough road game against district rival Bay City.
