A man from El Campo, already facing a previous DWI charge, was involved in a serious accident on Sunday after running a stop sign and colliding with another vehicle. The crash sent a mother and her two daughters, aged 8 and 11, to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. The family was airlifted by helicopter, but they are expected to recover. The driver, 28-year-old Reed Bartosh, was arrested and charged with intoxication assault, facing up to 10 years in prison. He posted bond and was released from the Wharton County Jail on Monday.
