Last Wednesday, Victoria EMS responded to a welfare check at Crossroads Apartments on East Guadalupe Street. Jerry Ramos, 49, was found in cardiac arrest, and paramedics had to break down the door to reach him. Ramos was transported to the hospital, but he later died. His body was sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Family members noted Ramos was homeless and unsure who owned the apartment where he was found. Crossroads Apartments is located on North Laurent Street in Victoria.
