An 18-year-old Angleton man turned himself in after his girlfriend, a high school junior, was reported missing. The girl, Ava Phillips, left school Tuesday morning, seen on camera getting into a car matching her boyfriend’s. Her belongings, including her phone, were left behind. Phillips reunited with her family Wednesday night after being dropped off at a Lake Jackson store. Her boyfriend now faces charges for harboring a runaway and is being held on a $5,000 bond.
