Wharton County commissioners have appointed Raymond Jansky as a reserve investigator and grand jury bailiff for the district attorney’s office. Jansky, a former member of the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office, will be funded by the DA’s existing budget. The commissioners also approved the purchase of a $1,900 light system investigative kit to help in crime scene investigations.
