Beryl Crop Losses

Farmers in Wharton are a month behind schedule due to Hurricane Beryl and 21 inches of rain. Corn and cotton crops are suffering, with some corn sprouting in the mud and cotton hard locking. Farmers like Tim Krenek are using special equipment to salvage what they can. The hurricane also caused a grain dryer collapse, leading to significant losses. Soybeans were the only crop not heavily impacted.
