St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wharton is celebrating their 100th Ice Cream Social, coinciding with National Ice Cream Month. This tradition began in 1924 when the Ladies Aid group held the first social. Despite disasters and moves, the event has continued every year. This year’s social will be held on July 26th from 5-7 p.m., offering free homemade ice cream and baked goods with donations supporting youth ministry.
