The ECISD Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Tuesday to accept the resignation of board president James Russell, who was not present. No public comments were made, so the board immediately addressed Russell’s resignation. ECISD Superintendent Robert Callaghan confirmed the acceptance of Russell’s resignation, effective June 4th. The board opened the floor for nominations to replace Russell on the board of trustees, not as president.
