Thirty-one students graduated with Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Nursing from Wharton County Junior College. They celebrated with a pinning ceremony on May 29th at the Wharton campus. The nursing program starts each August in Wharton and each January in Sugar Land. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that licensed vocational nurses earn nearly $60,000 a year, while registered nurses make around $86,000 annually.
