Wharton Feed and Supply was facing a deadline to agree with nearby property owners on building drainage infrastructure. Last week, Wharton City Council gave a 90-day extension for the business to negotiate with its neighbors. The previous deal expired on May 26, and now drainage plans must be submitted by July 1. The council also scheduled a public meeting on June 15th at 5 p.m. to discuss the annual drinking water quality report.
