The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search for Benedicto Jaramillo and his son Angel, missing off Magnolia Beach in Port Lavaca since Saturday. The search, which began after their boat was reported overdue, covered 77 square miles. Despite the Coast Guard’s decision, local nonprofit Hunter Hadley’s Quest continues to search. The father and son from Bloomington were last seen shrimping early Saturday morning.
