Wharton Independent School District will soon search for a new superintendent. Dr. Michael O’Guin, the current superintendent, sent an email to WISD staff, announcing his plan to retire at the end of his contract. He expressed gratitude for the past four years and cited recent improvements in the district. O’Guin’s decision comes as the district is in a good place.
