Jail Time for Child’s Death

In Boling, Eljah Hogston admitted in court to causing the death of his infant daughter five years ago. He also acknowledged endangering the child’s mother and another child. As a result, the 30-year-old will spend 35 years in prison and won’t be eligible for parole until at least half of that time has passed. Initially facing a potential life sentence for capital murder, Hogston accepted a plea deal for lesser charges.
