On Wednesday afternoon, a fire broke out at a residence on Erwin Street in Victoria. VFD, led by Battalion Chief Kevin Allen, reported the blaze originated at the rear of the house, with most damage confined to that area. The cause is under investigation. The department extinguished the fire in 18 minutes. The house was empty at the time, and there were no injuries.
