For the first time in their history, the El Campo Ladybirds’ season ended in the second round. They lost the area championship to the Lorena Lady Leopards, last season’s regional champions and the state’s 10th-best team. Despite the defeat, Coach Brittany expressed pride in the team’s historic season and optimism for the future.
