Cotton Planting

Recent storms in the San Bernard River area may have caused delays in cotton planting, but local experts reassure there’s no cause for alarm yet. According to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, excessive moisture has slowed down planting, with some areas recording up to eight inches of rainfall. Fields remain too saturated to enter. Farmers still have time to plant before the peak of hurricane season in mid-August, aiming for optimal harvest timing.
