A hailstorm damaged thousands of solar panels earlier this month. Aerial footage from the Fighting Jays Solar Farm near Needville in Fort Bend County showed rows of cracked cells. The hailstones, as big as baseballs, caused the damage. This solar project, powering 62,000 homes, produces 350 megawatts across 3,300 acres. Texas has been investing in clean energy projects, like this one, benefiting from federal incentives.
