In Wharton, a man was pulled over for a minor traffic violation on FM 102. Deputies discovered a vape pen with THC oil and a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle. The man, Mahamonad Jermome Jones, now faces charges for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana. He was taken to the Wharton County Jail but later released after posting $8,500 in bonds.
