The El Campo Volunteer Fire Department held an Appreciation Supper, where locals lined up to enjoy a meal and show their support. Retired firefighters served as bartenders. The department served 2,300 plates of fried oysters and fish. The supper was not just about the food, but a heartfelt thank you from the department to its supporters.
