The Palacios Area Historical Association is hosting an exhibition called “Citizens at Last: The Woman Suffrage Movement in Texas” until March 15th. It celebrates the 1920 ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. The exhibition, at the City by the Sea Museum, highlights Texas’ role as the first southern state to ratify the amendment.
