El Campo’s Volunteer Fire Department has a new $1.725 million ladder truck, Tower 1234. It’s got a 100-foot ladder, a powerful pump, and a 300-gallon tank. It’s already in service but hasn’t been used yet. The truck replaces an old one and is expected to serve the community for 20 years.
