Firing Attempt at Louise ISD

Efforts are being made to remove Superintendent Garth Oliver from Louise ISD, but he’s staying put. He claims he’s been fired without proper procedures. The school board president and a trustee visited him, stating he’s fired effective Feb. 16tg. No official meeting has taken place, raising legal concerns. Any decision outside a meeting could violate laws. If released without cause, the district might owe Oliver over $111,000 annually.
