The person accused of a toddler’s death may not face trial before the district attorney retires next year. The case, pending for twice as long as the child lived, involves 28-year-old Angel Castro of El Campo. She’s accused of killing 19-month-old Roselynn Coates, and is not in custody. Currently, cases involving inmates take priority.
