Escaped inmate Robert Yancy Jr., serving a life sentence for child abuse, was captured Monday in Matagorda County. Two others, including his mother, were arrested in Victoria for aiding his escape.She gave him a black sweater during a visit, and they walked out together. Yancy used someone else’s driver’s license to bypass the exit check. He was found near the Colorado River after a tip-off.
