Police clarified details about the death of 16-year-old Lizbeth Medina. She was fatally stabbed in her Edna home on Dec. 5th. Rafael Romero, 23, is charged with her murder. Originally called an “undocumented male,” Romero, from Mexico, had an expired visa, residing in the U.S. since 2018. He confessed to the crime. A break-in occurred at the home weeks before Lizbeth’s death. Romero is held at Jackson County Jail in Edna.
