Trace Matthews, a junior at El Campo High School, achieved the prestigious Eagle Scout rank by building an outdoor library for Hesed House. This honor is rare, with only 5% of Boy Scouts attaining it. Trace surpassed the required 21 merit badges, earning 31 in total. His project was a success thanks to his family and local businesses.
