Commissioner Mike Estlinbaum has initiated a project to reduce traffic problems at Matagorda County Beach. He tested oil field mats at the beach entrance and found them effective. These mats, funded by a grant, will be installed by July 4th to help manage traffic, especially emergency vehicles. If a storm hits, they can be easily removed.
