Wharton County is trying to keep $10,000 found in a car during a traffic stop on October 19th. The driver, Julian Isiah Sanchez, was stopped for tailgating and had inconsistent stories about the money. He and passenger Kimberly Nicole Varela were arrested for money laundering and drug possession. A judge will decide who gets the money.
