An El Campo landowner wants to change zoning for a plot along U.S. 59 and Blue Creek Road. Currently, only 20% is zoned for commerce, while the rest is industrial. The Owner wants to rezone the entire 22-acre plot for commercial use. The location is attractive to buyers due to its proximity to Hwy. 59. The Planning & Zoning Commission will discuss it at 5 Wednesday night at City Hall, open for public comments.
