Last week, in Wharton, something sweet and messy happened at the Civic Center. It was a Pie in the Face for Polio fundraiser! Local leaders like Joshua Owens and Joseph Pace bravely got pied with a smile. Even more, heroes like Jared Cullar, Dr. Michael O’Guin Sr., Terry Lynch, and David Carlson joined in to cream polio out of existence.
