Victoria Entertainment District Amendment

The Victoria City Council is set to finalize a downtown entertainment district ordinance amendment. This aims to simplify event planning for downtown businesses, attract more visitors, and boost local enterprises. The Entertainment District’s purpose is to promote restaurants and bars, draw more customers, and extend their stay to increase revenue. It covers an eight-block area, and if passed, businesses can use public sidewalks for temporary displays. The amplified sound limit will be 90 decibels at the property line. This will streamline event planning for downtown businesses, making it easier for them.
