Last week Traveler’s Paradise RV Park on Nichols experienced its third fire this year, this time due to a kitchen electrical issue, not arson. The owner, aged 58, was injured but survived. The Bay City Fire and Police Departments responded as the fire spread to a neighboring trailer. Thankfully, firefighters arrived in time to extinguish the blaze. Fire Marshal Dan Shook stressed the need for functional smoke detectors in all living spaces. The owner’s minor injuries highlight the importance of these safety measures.
