New Playground Celebrates Community

Fort Bend County celebrated the grand opening of a playground at Bates Allen Park on September 14th. Located in Kendleton, the park is also home to the Fort Bend County Heritage Unlimited Museum, focused on preserving African American history from 1865 to 1965. The museum has been educating the community for nearly two decades. The new playground is part of a $4 million project to expand the park, including an African American Memorial. The playground will serve as a place for making memories and fostering connections for years to come.
