Teacher Faces Prison for Theft

A former teacher from Louise High School, Keri Alison Jones, could face up to two years in prison for theft. The Wharton County Grand Jury indicted her on a single count for stealing under $30,000. Jones, 45, allegedly took around $9,000 from the Louise FFA Alumni Booster Club. She resigned as a science teacher on June 29, the day before her arrest by Wharton County sheriff’s deputies. After a month-long investigation into missing club funds, Jones was accused. She had been the treasurer for the FFA alumni organization for years.
