Louise’s Water Tower

After 72 years, Louise’s iconic water tower is being taken down due to safety concerns, but some parts will be saved. Erected in 1952, it served the community for decades, replaced now by ground tanks. The tower’s rust and damage posed risks, especially after a storm. Costing $1.2 million to replace, new tanks at $250,000 were chosen. A local business owner will preserve a portion with the word ‘Louise’ for historical value. The tower’s memory will live on, displayed at The Station and eventually The Mill, symbolizing the town’s history.
