Fire Danger in Texas

With triple-digit temperatures and dry conditions increasing wildfire danger in Texas, the Texas A&M Forest Service is urging caution with outdoor activities that can create sparks. High temperatures and strong winds may lead to large, hard-to-control wildfires through the first week of August. Remember, nine out of 10 wildfires in Texas are human-caused and preventable. Common causes include debris burning and equipment use, like parking in dry grass or dragging trailer chains. Be fire-safe this summer.
