Childcare center crisis

Sixty families are facing a childcare center crisis as Cub Care, their preschool and daycare, is being forced to leave its current location. Despite requesting an extension, the Van Vleck school district has refused to negotiate and insists on a firm deadline of August 31. Cub Care had plans to build a new center on three acres of land but won’t be ready until January. The district claims it cannot continue to support the facility with taxpayer money. The Board of Trustees is looking for alternative solutions and will hold a public meeting soon.
