A 21-year-old man from El Campo is facing serious charges after allegedly ramming his car into a teenager outside a local motel. The Wharton County Grand Jury returned a four-count indictment against him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident occurred during an argument with several people in front of the Jackson Inn. The suspect reversed his car at a high speed, hitting the victim and the motel wall. Thankfully, only the 16-year-old boy suffered a broken leg. The suspect had a previous vehicular assault charge and was released on bonds for the recent incident. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
