The El Campo City Council is discussing tonight whether residents should be allowed to park oversized vehicles in their driveways. Currently, RVs are prohibited from parking on public streets or alleys, except for quick stops. However, the existing ordinance does not address the storage of recreational vehicles on residential properties. The city planner notes that RVs can currently be stored at home as long as they don’t obstruct visibility for passing traffic. A complaint has sparked this issue.
