A fire broke out on North Richmond in Wharton, causing significant damage to a building Monday morning. Multiple fire departments quickly responded to extinguish the flames. The fire initially started in a vehicle and spread to the adjacent structure, where a mechanic was working. No foul play is suspected. Firefighters successfully controlled the blaze within 10-15 minutes and were off the scene in an hour. Despite the damage inside, the structure remained standing. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
