El Campo ISD are now prepared to have armed school guardians on their campuses starting this school year. During today’s session, trustees will receive an update on the guardian program, which allows selected trained staff to carry firearms. The screening process for applicants has been completed, and the district has collaborated with Strategos to provide the necessary training. They are currently in the final stages of training the applicants. Once the training and marksmanship standards are met, they will be ready to implement the guardian plan in August.
