The Victory in Jesus Recovery Center in Wharton is expanding to help more men overcome substance abuse. Founded by Pastor John Williams and his staff, they have helped over 300 residents recover from addiction in the last 10 years. With the renovation of an old hospital and airplane factory, they plan to provide for up to 50 men in recovery. They are raising funds through foundations, grants, and their annual fundraiser in June, where they will present the plans for the renovation and expansion.
