Chuck Young took oath as Victoria’s new police chief, pledging to enhance the department with technology and advancements. The ceremony at Victoria Community Center was attended by officials, law enforcement, and loved ones. Young, a law enforcement veteran of 40 years, was promoted from deputy chief on May 1st. He aims to lead the police department and improve their service. Young has already introduced technology, including a $775,000 license plate reader system, to combat crime. Young has received numerous awards and holds a master’s degree in criminal justice.
