Using taxpayer money

Kendleton Mayor Darryl Humphrey has been using taxpayer money to wash his cars in Rosenberg. Credit card statements show that he spent over $2,000 at Bluewave Car Wash over the past three years. The car wash charges $19.95 for smaller vehicles and $29.95 for larger ones, and Humphrey’s card was charged once a month or more. His visits to the car wash have cost the taxpayers over $2,000, not including gas to make the round trip. In 2019, Rachel White complained about the expenses and Humphrey campaigned against her. She recently won election to the council.
